Convicted felon sent to prison for 7 years for crimes in Hancock county

GARNER – A Hancock county man has been sent to prison again, this time for a term of up to 7 years.

The Hancock county district court sentenced Arthur Scigliano to a term of incarceration of up to 7 years on the offenses of burglary in the third degree and assault with a deadly weapon. He was charged by the Hancock county sheriff’s department for crimes he committed in June and July of this year. Other charges – including domestic abuse – were dismissed, apparently as a part of the plea deal.

In 2009, Scagliano was charged by Mason City police with felony second-degree possession of stolen property. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a prison term of 5 years.
