Iowa women beat North Dakota, 75-60

logo_iowa_hawkeyes1GRAND FORKS, NORTH DAKOTA – The Iowa women’s basketball team defeated North Dakota Wednesday in a road contest, 75-60.

Three Hawkeyes reached double figures. They include: Ally Disterhoft (20), Megan Gustafson (12), and Kathleen Doyle (11).

Disterhoft netted 20+ points for the second time this season. She has reached double figures in 81 of her 87 career starts.

Disterhoft now ranks eighth on Iowa’s all-time career scoring list (1,607). Her 20 points in today’s victory moved her past former Hawkeye Tangela Smith (1,598).

Doyle’s 11 points marked a career high.

Iowa (3-0) led 40-31 at the half.

Former Mason City High School standout Makenzie Meyer recorded an assist but no points in 11 minutes of game action.
