Moped rider hurt in collision with vehicle near Walmart
MASON CITY – A man was hurt when the moped he was riding collided with another vehicle near Walmart in Mason City Thursday night.
The accident happened about 10:25 PM Thursday night, November 10. Officers with the Mason City police department were dispatched to South Eisenhower and the south entrance to Walmart for a collision. Officers located Sadat Zenel, age 27 from Mason City who was riding a moped. Zenel was transported to the hospital by Mason City Fire for injuries he sustained in the collision. Raul Torres Sanchez, age 42 from Mason City, was driving a vehicle that was involved in a collision with the moped. Sanchez and his two passengers were not injured. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
Mason City Police was assisted at the scene by Mason City Fire, Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, and Iowa State Patrol.

Why would anyone be so foolish to ride a MoPed in that area at night? He must have a death wish.
