CLEAR LAKE – A North Iowa man who is facing a range of charges connected to drugs and theft was arrested for child endangerment.
On October 13, 2016, the Clear Lake Police Department received a complaint of unsupervised children playing in the street in the area of North 6th Street and 8th Avenue North. Upon arrival, officers located two children and took temporary custody of them while they spoke with the caller.
Later, Joshua Alan Wolff, age 25 of Manly, was arrested and charged with Child Endangerment and Providing False Identification Information. Wolff was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail. Clear Lake police tell NIT that Wolff is not the father of the children.
The Iowa Department of Human Services was contacted and will be assisting in the investigation. Wolff is due in court on October 28 for a hearing.
Currently, Wolff is facing illegal drug charges in Floyd county after a recent arrest by Nora Springs police. He is also facing a felony burglary charge in Mitchell county after an arrest by Osage police back in April. A warrant was issued for his arrest in September and was finally arrested on October 15 and taken to jail. He remains held there, awaiting a court appearance.
