CLEAR LAKE – A North Iowa man who is facing a range of charges connected to drugs and theft was arrested for child endangerment.

On October 13, 2016, the Clear Lake Police Department received a complaint of unsupervised children playing in the street in the area of North 6th Street and 8th Avenue North. Upon arrival, officers located two children and took temporary custody of them while they spoke with the caller.

Later, Joshua Alan Wolff, age 25 of Manly, was arrested and charged with Child Endangerment and Providing False Identification Information. Wolff was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail.  Clear Lake  police tell NIT that Wolff is not the father of the children.

The Iowa Department of Human Services was contacted and will be assisting in the investigation. Wolff is due in court on October 28 for a hearing.

Currently, Wolff is facing illegal drug charges in Floyd county after a recent arrest by Nora Springs police. He is also facing a felony burglary charge in Mitchell county after an arrest by Osage police back in April. A warrant was issued for his arrest in September and was finally arrested on October 15 and taken to jail. He remains held there, awaiting a court appearance.

This is my nephew and In wondering whose children the were? And why is he getting charge for child endangerment? Not his kids..Where was the mother of these kids? Her responsibility not Josh’s. .They better start charging others then that don’t take responsibility on tending their kids when outside or any other place..

Arrest with him in Floyd County, these two linked and in love. Also linked with a Cerro Gordo arrest for forgery, But no mention of her arrest in North Iowa Media anywhere.

If they are going to call playing in the street child endangerment they had better get more tickets. They do it all the time in the neighborhood. They better get after these women walking in the middle of the street pushing a baby stroller. There is a lot more danger there.
