Eagle grove women face felony theft charges after attempted heist from Fleet Farm

MASON CITY – Two women made the journey to Mason City to steal on more than one occasion and finally got caught – now they face felonies and potential prison sentences.

Mason City police tell NIT two culprits were finally caught on October 12, 2016 after a number of earlier crimes that were caught on video. At 3:53 PM that day, officers were called to the Fleet Farm store for two females suspected of shoplifting who were still inside the store. Employees confronted the two suspects after they went thru the check out and paid for a couple items without paying for numerous items they had allegedly concealed on or about their person(s).

Fleet Farm employees had video of the same female(s) allegedly shoplifting on prior occasions within the last month or so but the duo was not detained or identities known on the prior occasions. The items allegedly stolen that day were recovered from their persons.

Arrested as a result of this incident were two Eagle Grove women: 45-year-old Michelle Ganzeveld and 27-year-old Queenly Paculanang. Both females were charged with 2nd Degree Theft (Class D Felony). The value of stolen items was totaled from all incidents and used as the cumulative theft total allegedly equaling $1,270.00. Ganzeveld was also charged with a serious misdemeanor Theft Detection Device charge because she allegedly had a tool that she allegedly used to remove theft detection devices during the shoplifting process.

Both were arrested and taken to the Cerro Gordo County jail. Both were later released, pending court dates.

This is Cerro Gordo, be reasonable, they will get a slap on the wrist. If they notice a $5 item missing, they are definitely going to notice someone walking out with $1200 worth of stuff. Birds of a feather……..

You will see them again on election day – democrat voting booth helpersssssss.

Are u kidding me ! They look life a couple of the low life Trumpeter supporters !

Oh, you should see their husband’s. It’s funny how someone they have all been charged with burglaries, making drugs, and multiple high dollar thefts. Some have been in prison, others just jail so far. They will be the first to call Hillary a crook and wave their Trump flag.
A little hypocritical. Now they will continue to steal our tax dollars with free lawyers and more jail time. Trust me, Eagle Grove doesn’t want them either. Mason city can keep them.
