MASON CITY – A former Chicago man now living in Mason City is behind bars for the next six weeks after a car chase that led to numerous charges.

Mason City police attempted to stop a driver, Todd Aaron Howard Hamilton Sutton, age 25, back on October 11, 2015. However, Sutton attempted to elude police. He was eventually caught and charged with eluding, driving while barred, no registration, no insurance, failure to obey a stop sign, and interference with official acts.

Sutton, who already has a lengthy rap sheet in Mason City, pled guilty on August 8 to eluding and driving while barred. He was given 44 days in jail, total, and ordered to pay $925.25 in fines and court fees. He was also placed on probation for 2 years. The other charges are still in court.
