NORA SPRINGS – A Nora Springs man who was once a jailer and became a bouncer at a short-lived juice bar beat a probation violation charge and says he’s the real victim in the case.
Aron Bierl, age 30 of Nora Springs, allegedly harassed a person in Nora Springs on September 6, 2015. Nora Springs police filed a charge of third degree harassment on September 8; he was served with a warrant the next day and later entered a guilty plea that led to a deferred judgement and probation and an order to pay $758.50 in court costs.
In March, Bierl was accused of violating his probation due to two charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, a case that he still awaits trial on. However, on Friday, August 12, a judge dismissed the probation revocation charge – and Mr. Bierl wanted this reported, along with a statement.
“My probation revocation was dismissed today out of court. No questions asked,” Mr. Bierl told NIT late Friday. “I sat in magistrate court waiting and the county attorney came in to dismiss it. Didn’t even see the judge.”
Mr. Bierl tells NIT that he’s been somewhat of a victim in this case.
“All I ever did was marry a woman who I loved and had a child with her and I’ve been punished by the justice system for caring too much to just let my wife cheat on me and take my son from from me the next day,” he claims.
“The law system needs to understand there are caring fathers out there that love to play with their child. I lost everything in this battle just trying to figure everything out. I wasn’t just a bouncer at a strip club either. I was a welder at a full time job just trying to make ends meet and bounced at a club for some extra money.
“I don’t know any loving husband who wouldn’t lose their cool after finding out that their wife over 8 years, goes for a girl’s night out after finding that they get their nursing degree just to cheat on their spouses with a co-woker. Oh yea and cheat on me while I was with my son who she says I’m dangerous to be around.
“I’m over her but the police in Nora Springs will not leave me alone. Even after they ask for a test when I was on probation and I was clean. All I could think was are you kidding me…..!
“You know I worked for the Sheriff’s dept. in Cerro Gordo county. I’m not a half bit tweaker or a stoner. I have a full time job. I have a 4 year old son that I miss dearly. I haven’t seen him since January and it hurts deeply. Yes I miss my son. Yes it hurt that my wife cheated on me with her co-worker and made me out to be the bad guy for wanting her and my son back.
“Truth is now I don’t care to have her back now that I know how fake and vindictive she is. I just want to see my son. Let her boyfriend deal with her games. I have a good girl in my life and she makes me happy to come home from work.
“I was with (name redacted) when I was 15 and she was 21. I was just a kid that fell in love with a older woman.
“Everybody is quick to comment and judge people on NIT. I’m only saying I never once harmed my son or (name redacted) when we were married. But in Iowa you get put through the ringer if your wife decides to cheat and run away with your children. Because you are upset and sad it doesn’t matter. Iowa is a no fault state.”
In June, Bierl was accused of third-degree harassment, this time by Rockell, Iowa police. He awaits a September 20 non-jury trial.
Bierl was a bouncer at the Pole Barn adult nightclub in Nora Springs this year before it permanently closed. He was also a welder at a local business after he stopped working at the Cerro Gordo county jail on July 13, 2015, when he resigned.
Currently, Bierl is facing felony gun charges in Floyd county. His house was raided by police for a second time back in March. During this search, they were searching for guns at his home at 214 North Gaylord Avenue, and apparently found enough evidence to bring two felony charges against him. He faces two charges of dominion / control of firearm by a domestic abuser. He remains free as he awaits a September 16 hearing and a jury trial on September 22.

Seems like mr. Bierl needs to come off his high horse. Yes he has not had the best last couple of years and YES its all by choice. No he didn’t choose for his wife to step out on him but has anone ever wondered why!!!!! Both Mr. Bierl and his ex wife are BOTH SEVERE ALCOHOLICS!!!! Nether of them are innocent of anything. Each one are both messed up and have serious issues.

What does he say to prove to everyone that he’s better now? “I have a good girl in my life and she makes me happy to come home from work”. Uh, ok Ward Cleaver. And if she ever makes you feel unhappy to come home from work? What then? No where in the Constitution does it say a working man is entitled to come home to a doting and faithful wife.
He should quit drinking and quit letting others pay $ for his faults, he’s an adult

Well of course the Nora Springs police live in Nora Springs, more than 4 blocks apart though. However, there is no County Deputy that lives in Nora Springs as Impartial Observer stated in the post. Check your facts!!!

Duh !!!! There is no deputy that lives in Nora Springs. The Police dept in Nora Springs is as good as they come. Mr. Bierl worked a couple weeks welding and never lasted there cuz he never showed up to work. It is AMAZING how Mr Bierl can twist the facts to make him look good. The old saying is Dumb is Dumb and u surely cant fix that. Mr. Bierl would just be better off to stay quiet and just own up to his mistakes in life !!

It sounds like Nora Springs and Floyd Country law enforcement have a vendetta against Mr Bierl. Why all the scruenty surrounding Me. Bierl? Clearly the cops in the area have a target on his back. That’s what comes accros from the article to me.
I had an occasion to observe the sherriff’s deputy who lives in lives in Nora Springs. My wife and I observed that Floyd Counrty deputie’s behavior while performing his duties on the job. We both concluded, this deputy was clearly unfit to be in law enforcement. Very unprofessional and acted like a bully. The deputy prejudged without ever investigating and issued some guy a citation that did get thrown out of court.
Mr. Bier should request a “change of venue” on the gun charges.
Mr. Bierl should try being sober for 8 hours.
