SHEFFIELD, IOWA – A house fire in Sheffield claimed a woman’s life Sunday night.
Franklin County Sheriff Larry Richtsmeier confirms that a fire engulfed 22 Southview Circle in Sheffield on Sunday night, July 17. This was a very large fire that could be seen for a distance.
Dee Birdsall, a resident in the home, died as a result of the fire.
No cause of the fire has been released at this time.
