MASON CITY – A Des Moines teen who police say had committed a sex act at a Mason City gas station skipped his court hearing and is now on the run.
Mason City police reported that at approximately 2:32 PM on March 28, 2016, a male was reportedly masturbating inside the (now former) Kum & Go, 418 South Federal in Mason City. The male allegedly exposed himself to at least one person inside the store before leaving in a blue Mercury Mountaineer.
Cerro Gordo deputies located and stopped the SUV on Highway 122 west and Killdeer Avenue. Mason City Police investigated the incident at the scene and then arrested Gabriel Newell-Terren Lee, age 18 of Des Moines, for Indecent Exposure. Lee was jailed on the charge and then soon released when he posted $1,000 bond.
Lee was appointed a public defender and entered a not-guilty plea in May. A pre-trial conference was set for July 18 with a trial date set for August 2. However, Lee failed to appear in court on July 18, leading to a warrant for his arrest.
Lee is also wanted in Polk county on a drug possession charge after he was arrested in April. He pleaded guilty to marijuana possession and was due to be sentenced on July 19, but failed to appear in court.
He remains at-large at this time.
His next act will be in philly at the DNC !

How do you know he wasn’t doing this in the restroom and an employee walked in on him? The store is small and well lit. Do you think someone would be in the aisles masturbating? Seems very improbable. Sounds like an exaggerated story trumped up to put another black male into the system.
