RURAL MASON CITY – A Mason City man was stopped by law enforcement and arrested for felony drunk driving.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a suspicious vehicle at 1:38 AM Monday morning near Spruce Avenue and 220th Street. Inside the car behind the wheel was 28-year-old Brandyn Marcus Schade of Mason City, a twice-convicted drunk driver.
After an investigation at the scene, Schade was arrested for third-offesne operating while intoxicated, driving under suspension, and no SR-22 insurance.
Schade was taken to the county jail where he is being held on $5,000 bond.
Schade was guilty of second-offense operating while under the influence this past September. He had been arrested by Cerro Gordo deputies.
