MASON CITY – A Mason City man is behind bars Friday after a woman yelled for help and the suspect tried to flee cops in a drunken state in his car.
On February 26, 2016 at 1:05 AM, officers were dispatched to the area of 6th and North Washington on disturbance call. Officers located a female who was yelling for help inside a residence. When officers arrived a male suspect, Jesse Stull, ran from Officers, entered a vehicle and attempted drive away. Officers blocked Stull’s vehicle from leaving and he proceeded to ram the squad car. Stull then exited the vehicle and refused to comply officer verbal commands. Officers restrained Stull and placed him under arrest and transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
Jesse Stull, age 34, of Mason City, was charged with the following:
-Domestic assault-enhanced to a class “D” felony. -Operating while under the influence
-False imprisonment
-Criminal mischief in the 3rd and 4th degree
-Obstruction of emergency communications -Interference with official acts
-Reckless Driving
Stull remains jailed on no bond Friday as he awaits a judge.
