MASON CITY – Mason City police described a charge of indecent contact with a child recently brought against a man.
Mason City police tell NIT that in June 2015, inappropriate contact was reported between 57-year-old Kennth Charles Bittner and an 8-year-old female.
Investigators worked the case and eventually applied for an arrest warrant for Bittner alleging he committed Indecent Contact with a Child (an Aggravated misdemeanor). The complaint alleges he fondled the 8-year-old’s breasts for his own self-gratification.
A warrant was issued and Bittner was arrested in Marshalltown on January 15. He was then transported to the Cerro Gordo county jail, where he is being held on bond. He awaits a hearing on January 22.
