MASON CITY – Gas prices in Mason City remain under $2.00 a gallon, but the lowest price is in Clear Lake.
Two Clear Lake Kum & Go stations are selling (regular) gas for $1.92, but the lowest price listed on GasBuddy.com is $1.53 per gallon at the Clear Lake Pilot truck stop.
In Mason City, most stations are charging $1.95 for regular gas, while Murphy’s and Fleet Farm are selling mid-grade for $1.51 per gallon.
In Iowa, the average price is $1.90 and the lowest price is $1.53.
Gas prices could drop lower as the price of oil plummets.
Walmart and Fleet Farm are at $ 1.49
Low gas prices finally in Clear Lake. After being 7-12 cents/gallon higher than MC for years, Kwik Star comes to town and suddenly prices fall in line. Thanks Kwik Star!

Actually fleet farm has no ethanol for $1.89 which is the cheapest around and super unleaded for $1.51! How about you doing some better research next time!
Maybe these other gas stations read this article and changed their prices to be competitive.
I think this story is incorrect. The Kum & Go Stores have been at $1.52 for several days now. Kwick Star and Fleet Farm in Mason City as well. Maybe comparing the different grades, (Apples and Oranges.)
