MASON CITY – A woman from a nearby trailer park fled a Mason City retailer today after allegedly stealing, but police soon caught her.
Mason City police and Cerro Gordo deputies responded to a call today at Kohls department store, 556 Indianhead Drive, at about 11:10 AM. Upon arrival, police had to search for the female suspect, 27-year-old Angel Marie Ward. Cerro Gordo deputies assisted Mason City police officers in locating Ward’s vehicle. She was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree theft.
Ward is being held in the Cerro Gordo jail on $1,000 bond at this time.
