Mason City police said today that they arrested 21-year-old De’airreo Jerrid Cryer on a charge of felony C child endangerment with serious injury.
Cryer was transported to the Cerro Gordo jail and is being held there on bond.
The arrest comes as a result of a joint-investigation between the Iowa Department of Human Services and the Mason City police Department.
The victim, a 6-week-old infant, was transported to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, with undisclosed injuries.
