IOWA CITY – Single game tickets for University of Iowa men’s basketball nonconference home games, including the Big Ten/ACC Challenge versus Florida State, will go on sale next week. The schedule for ticket sales was released Friday by the UI Athletics Ticket Office.

Kinnick Gold, Kinnick Society, Champion Hawks, and Golden Hawks members will have the first opportunity to purchase single tickets on Monday, Oct. 19. All I-Club members and season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets beginning Tuesday, Oct. 20, while general public sales will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Single game tickets for Big Ten Conference games will go on sale the week of Nov. 16, with details on league games to be released at a later date.

Single game tickets for nonconference games are $18 for adults and $5 for UI students and children. Tickets for the Florida State game, slated for Wednesday, Dec. 2, are $28 for adults, and $15 for UI students and children, the same price as single game tickets for Big Ten Conference weekday games. Fans are limited to 10 tickets for the Florida State game.

The Hawkeyes will host two exhibition games (Oct. 29 vs. Sioux Falls and Nov. 6 vs. Augustana, S.D.). Adult tickets for the exhibition contests are $5. Children and UI students will be admitted free of charge for the exhibition games, but will need a ticket to be admitted.

Iowa opens the regular season with a busy weekend, hosting Gardner-Webb (8:30 p.m.) Friday, Nov. 13, and Coppin State on Sunday, Nov. 15 (4 p.m.). The opening contest is part of a men’s and women’s doubleheader, as the Iowa women hosts North Dakota at 6 p.m. to open the regular season.

Additional nonconference home games for coach Fran McCaffery’s squad include UMKC (Nov. 5), Western Illinois (Nov. 7), and Tennessee Tech (Dec. 22). The Hawkeyes begin Big Ten play Tuesday, Dec. 29, hosting Michigan State.
