CORALVILLE, IOWA – An Iowa prison inmate has passed away due to cancer.
Harvey Wilson Spencer, an inmate assigned to the Iowa Medical and Classification Center died Thursday October 8, 2015 in the Hospice Care Unit.
Spencer died of natural causes from Malignant Throat Cancer.
Spencer was 80 years old and serving a life sentence from Polk County for First Degree Murder. This sentence began on November 17, 1989.
