ambulanceFORT DODGE, IOWA – Police in Fort Dodge said Tuesday that they heard the tragic sound of a single gunshot which claimed a man’s life.

According to Fort Dodge police, on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at approximately 10:15 AM, officers became aware of a male reporting by telephone that he was feeling suicidal and had intentions of harming himself. The department also gathered information at that time that he was currently in possession of one or more firearms. Officers as well as Webster County Deputies responded to county address 2242 Racine Avenue – a large vacant plot of land – which is where the male was believed to be located.
