There’s always something interesting at the (semi) annual Labor Day picnic in Mason City

MASON CITY – Supporters of working persons and the general public are invited to a Labor Day Picnic on September 7 in Mason City.

President of the North Iowa Nine Labor Council (AFL-CIO) Gerald Miller announced the event. This is the local branch representing the counties of Butler, Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Mitchell, Winnebago, Worth, and Wright.

He said a Labor Day picnic is planned for Monday, September 7, 2015 at the Georgia Hanford Park on 22nd Street SE in Mason City.

The event time is planned for 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and is open to the public.

“Please join us as we Celebrate the American Worker,” Mr. Miller said.

Events similar to this one are planned for around the state to mark Labor Day.
