Convicted burglar allegedly caught thieving from house

MASON CITY – A Mason City man who has done time for burglarizing cars in town was allegedly caught in the act leaving a house with items that didn’t belong to him.

According to Mason City police, officers were called to 323 South Kentucky Avenue for a burglary in progress. When they arrived, and 23-year-old Max Lindsay was discovered at the scene with items that belonged to the residents of the house. He was placed under arrest on a charge of felony second degree burglary.

Lindsay remains jailed on $10,000 bond as he awaits a court date on August 8.

Lindsay was arrested by Mason City police back in 2012 for burglary of unauthorized vehicles. He was given a prison sentence and fined for that crime. He was earlier charged with assault on peace officer causing injury and also given a fine and jail time.
