CLEAR LAKE – The crowd was a little smaller than usual, but very enthusiastic for the Sir Mix-a-Lot performance Friday night at the Surf Ballroom.
The 51-year-old Anthony Ray brought his entourage and his 80’s and 90’s hit songs, including his 1992 #1 hit single “Baby Got Back” and its iconic opening line “I like big butts”. He closed with that song and sent the crowd into a frenzy as he first pulled a number of bright-eyed young ladies onto the stage to shake what the lord gave them.
Mason City’s Sten Joddi also performed.
