Swim for free at Mason City pool Thursday with three bars of soap donation

MASON CITY – The Mason City Aquatic Center and Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank will host their third annual Swim and Share night from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Mason City Aquatic Center.

Swimming will be free for anyone bringing three or more bars of soap for the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank. Season pass holders will receive a coupon for a free bottle of water for donating three or more bars of soap.

Last year 201 bars were collected. The food bank typically distributes more than 250 bars of soap each month.

Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank is a locally organized, all-volunteer, non-profit organization that serves more than 20,000 people with emergency food and non-food perishables.
