OSAGE – An Osage man accused of a range of serious felony charges will stand trial in August.
On February 3, 2015, a search warrant was served at 826 S. 6th Street, Osage, Iowa by the Osage Police Department. Assisting with the search were the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa DNR and Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations.
Mark Retterath, age 51 of Osage, was arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree, a Class C Felony; Solicitation, a Class D Felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Additional charges were filed by the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office.
Retterath has remained jailed in Mitchell county as he awaits a court date, which has now been set for August 19 after an earlier not guilty plea. He is accused of attempting to murder a person he had allegedly sexually assaulted by using the poison ricin, which he was going to make himself.
Like I said, bring back the death penalty.
