FLOYD COUNTY – Two Illinis children were injured Monday evening in car accident in Floyd county.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, at 5:54 PM Monday, a 2007 Toyota Highlander driven by 44-year-old James Reynolds of Moline, Illinois, was westbound on Highway 18 near the 197 mile marker when Reynolds over-corrected as it left the roadway, causing it to roll over and land on its top in the north ditch.
The Floyd county sheriff’s deputies, Nora Springs Ambulance and Nora Springs Fire Department responded and assisted the Iowa State Patrol at the scene.
Injured in the crash was 12-year-old Carli Reynolds and 8-year-old Schierbrock Reynolds, both of Moline. They were transported to Mercy Hospital in Mason City by ambulance with undisclosed injuries.
