MASON CITY – An armed woman who is barred from driving was shuttling a wanted meth dealer about Mason City, and both were stopped and arrested by law enforcement Thursday.
Cerro Gordo deputies and Mason City police conducted a traffic stop Thursday afternoon at about 2 PM near the 000 block of 6th Street NE. During the traffic stop and investigation, the driver, Angela Marie Honebrink, age 26 of Kensett, was discover to be in possession of a knife and is a barred driver due to a drunk driving and child endangerment case. The passenger in the car, Jason Shi Mar Keys, age 31 of Mason City, was wanted on several warrants, including delivery of methamphetamine. He was also discovered to have meth and drug paraphernalia during the search.
Both persons were arrested. Honebrink was charged for the second time this month with driving while barred and possession of a dangerous weapon. Keys was brought in on the warrants. Both are in the county jail at this time, held on bond as they await court dates on June 5.
Just one day prior to her second arrest this month, on May 27, Honebrink reported via social media that “I’ve really been trying to better myself. I go to church each week and go to the pastor’s home for 3hour bible studies frequently.”
