SPENCER – A search warrant by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Spencer Police Department, landed a Spencer male and female in the Clay County Jail on drug charges.
On Friday, May 1st, 2015 at approximately 1722 hrs, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Spencer Police Department executed a search warrant at 109 E. 1st Street Apt. #2 in Spencer, Iowa. Upon making contact with the occupants, Lucas Carstensen, age 22, and Sarah Kunath, who both live at that address, were detained and read the warrant.
Upon searching, methamphetamine, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia was located. Carstensen and Kunath were arrested and transported to the Clay County Jail w/o incident. Carstensen was charged with P.C.S.-Marijuana w/ Intent to Deliver, a Class “D” Felony, P.C.S.-Methamphetamine, a Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. Carstensen is currently being held in the Clay county Jail on a $3,000.00 cash only bond. Kunath was charged with P.C.S.-Marijuana, a Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. Kunath was released on a $1,000.00 cash or surety bond.
