CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman was taken to jail Monday for domestic abuse.
Charles City police were called to the 200 block of Kelly Street on Monday, May 17 at 10:37 PM to investigate a disturbance. Officers then arrested 43-year-old Barbara Carothers for first offense domestic abuse assault causing injury.
Carothers was taken to jail, processed and released Tuesday. She must appear in court June 5.
