WASHINGTON, D.C. – Will states be able to ban same sex-marriages? The U.S. Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments today in a case that will decide the legality of that practice nationwide.
Some states have legalized same-sex marriages – like Iowa and Minnesota – while others – like Utah – have banned them.
The case before the court now will once and for all decide if state governments have the authority to ban or regulate the practice. Many are predicting that the court will take away the power of states to make same-sex marriages illegal.
A decision could come as early as June. What is your prediction on the outcome, and will it be correct?
