CEDAR RAPIDS – Police nabbed two teens who displayed what appeared to be a handgun as they robbed three Cedar Rapids businesses since Saturday.
According to Cedar Rapids police, with the assistance of a Marion Police Department K9, a 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male were taken into custody and charged with three counts of first degree robbery. They are accused of robbing the Hawkeye Convenience Store at 250 16th Avenue SW Saturday night. They are also accused of robbing the Little Caesar’s on Mount Vernon Road and the Flowerama on 1st Avenue E today.
Police said the teens displayed what was believed to be a handgun and demanded money in all three instances. Their mugshots were not released.
