FREDERICKSBURG, IA – A man was found dead this morning inside a vehicle while parked at a Chickasaw county cemetery.
The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office reported today that this morning around 6:30 AM, the county dispatch received an emergency call from a passer-by requesting assistance. The Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Rose Hill Cemetery on N. Jackson Street within the City of Fredericksburg.
A deceased male from Denver, Iowa was located within a vehicle parked in the area of Rose Hill Cemetery. The victim was identified as Jonathan L. Arends, age 19 of Denver, IA. Mr. Arends death was determined to be sudden, with no foul play discovered.
The sheriff’s office says no foul play is suspected and an investigation is continuing with cause of death pending autopsy. The name of the decedent is not being released pending proper family notification.
