MASON CITY – Police were called to a Mason City apartment to investigate a domestic incident, and one man was arrested.
Police were summoned to an apartment at 1000 South Illinois Avenue Friday morning at about 7:11 AM. After an investigation, officers arrested 48-year-old Robert Watson on a charge of simple domestic assault. He was jailed and soon released, pending an April 21 court date. A no-contact order was imposed by a judge, so Watson won’t be able to return home until that issue is resolved.
