BRITT, IOWA – The city administrator of Britt has resigned.
Tony Stonecypher has been employed in Britt as the city administrator and city clerk since January of 2015. He resigned last week.
Mr. Stonecypher was city administrator at Mount Vernon, Texas from March of 2013 until November of 2014, when he accepted the job for the city of Britt and moved back to Iowa, where he grew up.
Prior to his work in Texas, Mr. Stonecypher was city manager of Aurora, Missouri. He was hired there in May of 2010 and worked in that position until January of 2013.
