Marlene Ehresman of the Iowa Wildlife Center will present “All about Bats.” Bats are often portrayed with “fangs” bared, blood dripping from their mouths and bloodshot eyes glowing in the dark. They, like other night-time wild ones, have been given a bad rap in myth and movie.
This presentation will offer information that will dispel generations of myths, providing insight into these remarkable mammals that provide humans with several services – for free. The program will include Bonnie, a live big brown bat!
The program will be followed by a catered lunch and social time. Cost is $5.00 for nature center members and $7.00 for nonmembers. Please call 423-5309 by March 2 to register.
