MASON CITY – Police raced to the Gracious Estates trailer park Sunday to deal with a man who refused to stop dialing 911.
Robert Lee Lopez, age 44, first called 911 to report an assault which was allegedly unfounded. Soon thereafter, he became belligerent and dialed 911 over and over and yelled at dispatchers, who then asked police to head to his home in the Gracious Estates trailer park to make his cease the calls. After an investigation, police determined that Lopez was drunk an he was arrested for obstruction of emergency communications.
Lopez posted a bond and was released from jail.
