Wanted homeless man arrested in Mason City

MASON CITY – Cops nabbed a homeless man in Mason City who was wanted in Floyd county.

Mason City police were called to 207 South Monroe Avenue on November 12 at about 5:14 PM to put down a domestic situation. At the scene, police discovered that a man who was involved, 39-year-old Darrell Wayne Hulion, who police list as a homeless individual, was intoxicated and they arrested him. They also discovered he was wanted in Floyd county in connection to a domestic abuse causing injury case.

Hulion pled guilty to public intoxication the next day and was ordered to pay $330.00 in fines and court costs and was handed over to Floyd county authorities. On November 18, a letter mailed by the courts to his last known address was returned to Cerro Gordo courthouse as “undeliverable”.

Records show Hulion is still in the Floyd county jail at this time, awaiting a court date connected to the warrant.
