Iowa gets 7th win of season, beats Illinois 30-14

logo_iowa_hawkeyesCHAMPAIGN, ILL – Iowa (7‐3, 4‐2) defeated Illinois (4‐6, 1‐5), 30‐14, Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Iowa has won six of its last seven meetings against the Illini.

Iowa trailed 7‐2 before scoring 28 straight points. The Hawkeyes have trailed in five wins this season. Iowa scored a season‐high 21 second‐half points.

Iowa has scored 30 or more points in four Big Ten games for the first time since 2002 (5). Under Kirk Ferentz, Iowa is 62‐ 6 when scoring 30 or more points.

Iowa had a season‐high 587 yards of total offense, the fourth‐highest total under head coach Kirk Ferentz.
