NEW HAMPTON – A Chickasaw county man has been arrested for allegedly strangling his victim.
Travis Michael Ruttman, age 24 of Alta Vista, stands charges by Chickasaw county law enforcement with public intoxication, felony domestic assault which included strangulation and first degree harassment. He awaits a November 3 court date and is being held in jail in New Hampton.
Last month via social media, Ruttman, referring to his fiancé, declared “Some days are worse than others. I am just insane. I need to focus on myself more then [his fiancé] i get out of control sometimes and i apologize for that. (sic)” A few days prior to that, he said “shes not going anywhere she loves me. its totally mind blowing. (sic)”
