MASON CITY – A Mason city man was brought to jail twice in recent days after two unrelated incidents that were both linked to alcohol.
Donald Ralph Meade, age 46, was arrested by Mason City police for public intoxication on the evening of September 17. He pled guilty the next day and was ordered to pay $195.00 in fines and court fees.
Meade was stopped by a Mason City police officer after a caller reported an intoxicated male subject at Burke’s Bar, 1224 North Federal Avenue. Meade was located nearby and placed under arrest for first offense operating while under the influence. He now awaits an October 17 hearing in court.
