IOWA FALLS – A man lost control of his SUV Thursday afternoon on a stretch of Highway 20 in Hardin county and two person were hospitalized.
A 1997 Ford Explorer was east bound on Highway 20 near the 181 mile marker (exit to Steamboat Rock) at about 3:30 PM when the driver, 29-year-old Marques Johnson of Fort Dodge over-corrected, causing the vehicle to lose control, enter the median and roll several times. An air care helicopter was called to the scene, and crews worked to extricate the victims. Traffic was reduced to one lane for a time.
Johnson, the driver, was injured and flown to Covenant Hospital. A passenger, 21-year-old Jordan Blocker of Calumet City, Illinois was also injured at taken by ambulance to an Iowa Falls hospital.
