MASON CITY – A North Iowa couple who have only been together a few weeks decided to go on a date and steal from the Mason City Wal-Mart this weekend.
At about 3:00 PM Sunday, September 21, police were called to the Wal-Mart store, located at 4151 4th Street SW, to investigate a shoplifting incident. Two persons were detained by employees who they say had attempted to steal over $500 in merchandise.
Police determined there was probable cause to arrest and charge two residents of Titonka – Stephen Christopher Levandoski, age 31, and Donna Ciaffarafa, age 20 – each with third degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. Both were jailed and released, pending a court date on October 10.
In August, Ciaffarafa announced via social media her new relationship with Levandoski, saying “he is amazing”. Just a few weeks prior to that proclamation, she lamented “If I broke guys heart as much as they have broke mine they would be dead so to y’all who have broke my heart and y’all know who u r watch.the **ck out. remember revenge is best served cold and its getting chilly up in here.
