MASON CITY – A Mason City man was taken to jail early Monday morning after police went to his house to investigate a domestic assault.
Police were called to 2524 South Madison Avenue Monday morning just after 5:00 AM after a domestic assault was reported. At the scene, police conducted an investigation and determined that Jarrod John Lindsay, age 29, had been the aggressor in a domestic altercation that involved strangulation. Lindsay was arrested on charges of domestic abuse assault involving strangulation, fourth degree criminal mischief and fifth degree criminal mischief.
Lindsay was jailed until he could see a judge and later released pending unknown court dates. Domestic abuse assault involving strangulation is a felony in Iowa.
