CHARLES CITY – Police in Charles City arrested a man for shoplifting recently.
On July 9th at about 4:23 PM, Charles City police officers went to the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue after a report of a shoplifter. After an investigation, officers places 40-year-old Terry Brandt of Charles City under arrest for fifth degree theft. He was taken to jail, booked and released the next day on his own recognizance as he awaits a court date on July 23rd.
Brandt was previously convicted of felony burglary at least three times, as well as others crimes, in the North Iowa region.
