Iowa man runs from cops, caught with meth and then assaults officer

CASS COUNTY – As the result of a pursuit in southern Cass County on June 4, 2014, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Trel Curtis Peterson, 28, of Cumberland, IA, on charges of Eluding, Possession of Methamphetamine 3rd or Subsequent Offense, Assault on a Peace Officer, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense, OWI 2nd Offense, Carrying Weapons, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving Under Suspension. Peterson was taken to the Cass County Jail where he is awaiting hearing before the Magistrate.
