ATLANTIC, IOWA – An elderly Iowa woman died Saturday afternoon after her car slid on an icy Iowa road and smaeched into a bridge guardrail.
According to a report, 65-year-old Linda Shea of Atlantic was traveling southbound on County Road N16 is Cass county when her car spun out of control on the roadway and slid sideways into a metal bridge guardrail. The car continued into the guardrail before it entered the west ditch and came to rest in a small ravine.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
