Breast cancer fundraiser to be held at NIACC February 15th

The Think Pink game is an annual fundraising event associated with raising money for breast cancer awareness. All of the proceeds will stay local and will be donated to Mercy Center for Breast Health (a department of Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa). The funds will be used for un-insured and underinsured women in North Iowa for breast health imaging including screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies.

The community can support this cause in several ways:

– Attend the basketball game.

– Purchase Think Pink t-shirts: T-shirts are $10 (Youth Medium, Youth Large, Adult Small, Medium, Large, XL, XXL) Shirts can be ordered by contacting NIACC Women’s Basketball Coach Kelli Terrell at terrekel@niacc.edu Any remaining shirts will be sold at the door of the match. Ordering deadline is Tuesday, February 11th.

There will also be a bake sale with an assortment of home-made goodies. Free will donation.

“We are very excited to remain a partner with Mercy Breast Health of North Iowa,” said Kelli Terrell, NIACC Women’s Basketball Head Coach. “Keeping our funds local has a direct benefit on the community that has been supporting us all season long. It’s also a great experience for the individuals on our team to be involved and see how their efforts can make an impact in the fight against cancer.”
