AMES – No. 16 Iowa State (16-4, 4-4) faces its fourth-straight nationally ranked opponent Monday when it faces No. 8 Oklahoma State (16-5, 4-4) in Stillwater on ESPN’s Big Monday.
The game will be televised on ESPN and starts at 8 PM.
ISU has five wins vs. ranked opponents this season, which ties for the second most in school history (7, 1999-00). Iowa State is in the middle of a grueling stretch that features four-straight games against nationally ranked opponents. The Cyclones are facing four ranked programs in a row for just the fifth time in school history (57-58, 94-95, 02-03, 10-11, 13-14).
Oklahoma State leads the all-time series vs. Iowa State at 63-54. ISU has lost 18-straight games to OSU in Stillwater. Its last win at Gallagher-Iba was a 97-88 victory on March 2, 1988.
The two teams split last season’s meetings. OSU won 78-76 in Stillwater on Marcus Smart’s floater in the lane with five seconds left. The last four meetings in Stillwater have been decided by an average of 3.5 points, including the last two by two points each.
