justice2GRUNDY CENTER, IA – A man accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the grocery store he worked at in Grundy Center has received a deferred judgement.

According to records, Mark Dunnick, age 53, was employed as a general manager at the Family Foods Grocery Store in Grundy Center, Iowa where it was discovered that while he was employed there from 2011 to 2013, he stole over $10,000.

Dunnick entered an alford plea in November of 2013 to felony C first degree theft, not admitting guilt but acknowledging that there is enough evidence to convict him.

At sentencing on January 6, 2014, it was reported that Dunnick received a deferred judgement with supervised probation for up to five years and community service.
