CLEAR LAKE – A Clear Lake teen rolled his early Saturday morning.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon Tofte, 17, of rural Clear Lake, lost control of his vehicle about a half mile north of the intersection of 265th Street and Jonquil Avenue, in the vicinity of the eastern edge of Clear Lake and the Mason City Airport. The vehicle ended up in a deep ditch.
Tofte refused medical attention on scene but was transported to Mercy Medical Center by his parents. He was charged with failure to maintain control and violation of graduated drivers license.
Thank God this kid is okay.
Driver training taught him nothing, maybe this accident will.
