MASON CITY – A Mason City woman was injured after a three car accident on Tuesday of this week.
According to police, on October 22nd at around 4 PM, a collision was reported at the intersection of 12th Street and North Jefferson Ave. Shylan Bergstrom, age 25, was in a vehicle was facing west, stopped on 12th NW, waiting to turn left (south) onto Jefferson Ave. A second vehicle driven by Joshua Dewald, age 21, drove up behind Bergstrom’s vehicle and stopped, waiting for Bergstrom’s car in front to turn. A third vehicle driven by Diamond Miller, age 19, drove up behind Dewald’s vehicle, did not stop in time, and collided with the rear of Dewald’s vehicle which then pushed his vehicle into the rear of Bergstrom’s vehicle.
All the vehicles received damage in the incident.
Bergstrom was cited for Failure to Prove Security Against Liability and Miller was cited for Failure to Stop in Assured Clear Distance. Miller complained of pain from the collision but was not transported by ambulance. Bergstrom said this week she was still sore from the collision.
