MASON CITY – Sheila Scobba Banning will read from, and sign copies of, her new book, “Terroir,” and oil paintings inspired by the story, by artist Katie Aguado, will be on display and available for sale from 5:00-8:00 pm on Friday, August 30, 2013, at Encore! Boutique, 14 S. Federal, downtown Mason City. Wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres will be served, and attendees will be able to browse the new custom picture framing dept. at Encore!
Sheila Scobba Banning is a native of Algona, now residing in Sunnyvale, CA with her husband and sons. “Terroir,” set in a California winery and a small town in Iowa, is her second book, and performing well on Amazon. The event on August 30 is her first book-signing in Mason City.
Katie Aguado is also a native of Algona, now residing the Twin Cities area, with her husband and daughter. She does freelance artwork, portraits and graphic design from her home. The August 30th event will be her first art show in Mason City.
